online shopping refund policy

Our online store is updated instantly throughout the day via our inventory system. That said, nothing is perfect and sometimes an item may be unavailable online or in a different quantity to what's listed. If an item you have purchased online is sold out, we will provide a full refund if we can't provide an item in a timely manner that meets your needs and expectations.

We don't provide refunds for change of mind but can offer a store credit to be used on other items in store.

product and book descriptions

We use an integrated system which sources external data and images for many of the items (though not all) in our store. We do our best to maintain these to a high and accurate standard however we can't manually review every item. At times there may be discrepancies with a description or cover image. If you are after a specific item/cover/special edition we suggest contacting the store prior to purchase to confirm it's exactly what you are after.

order fulfilment and postage

We do our best to process all orders on the next business day for collection or post to get our item to you as soon as possible. If you have placed an order and not heard from us within 48 hours, please get in touch by phone or email to hello@peninsulabooks.com.au so we can assist you.

refunds

Please choose carefully as we don't give refunds for change of mind.

Special orders, sale items, puzzles, games, diaries, calendars and other stationery items, and other non-book items cannot be returned or exchanged.

faulty goods

A refund can be offered if goods are faulty, have been incorrectly described or are different from a sample shown to you.

In this situation, and if you have a receipt showing valid proof of purchase, you may choose between a refund, exchange or credit voucher.

shipping costs

Any costs incurred shipping your goods to you or returning to the store will not be refunded and are at your expense.

exchanges

We can offer an exchange or in-store credit on an item that you have changed your mind about or if you have a gift which you wish to exchange.

Please note you will need to have:

  • proof of purchase
  • the item must be as new and in saleable condition and
  • you are returning the item within 30 days of purchase

We don't offer change of mind or exchanges for special orders, sale items, puzzles, games, diaries, calendars and other stationery items, and other non-book items unless they are faulty.

  • We do not store your payment details – all payments are securely processed by trusted providers.

  • We will never sell or share your details with third parties, except where required to deliver your order or by law.
